On any given day, Olive Tree Learning Centre is alive with the laughter and energy of bright, enthusiastic children. Their smiles and occasional cheekiness reflect their excitement about the opportunities OTLC provides and their love for being here. However, this joyful energy often masks the harsh realities these children face daily.

Many come from heart-wrenching circumstances: single-parent households, orphaned, or caring for a terminally ill parent. Others are abandoned by fathers, living in overcrowded homes with siblings, cousins, and extended family members, all squeezed into impossibly small spaces. In this community, where poverty and disease are widespread, many children are required to work in the rock quarry, pushing wheelbarrows or performing other tasks to support their families.

At OTLC, these children find a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. Here, they receive consistent care, a nutritious lunch, and the attention they need to thrive. Beyond academics, they learn essential life skills, building a foundation for brighter futures. OTLC is more than a school—it is a haven of hope, resilience, and transformation for these remarkable young lives.
