A community of educators empowering our learners
Apart from Maree all the staff at OTLC are Zambian and most from the community of Ngwenya or nearby. Their aim every day is to provide the the best education, care and nurturing that can possibly be provided despite the limited resources. The staff are a dedicated team that work hard together to build a brighter future for all OTLC students. This is evident when you see the very bright and energetic children, it is hard to imagine the difficult circumstances many of them emerge from each morning. OTLC staff provide this safe haven for all our students. They bring a smile, love, a stern word when needed, comfort and happiness to all our little ones. Fundamental to the philosophy of OTLC is self management by the teachers. Teacher training has been sponsored which ensures the rigorous standards are upheld in terms of teaching the Zambian National Curriculum.
